A-Plus Water-Check Concrete Waterproofer

A-Plus Water-Check® Negative Pressure Concrete Waterproofer is a premium heavy-duty liquid-type waterproofing membrane designed to withstand both positive and negative side water pressure. It is a 1-component coating formulated to resist blistering, bulging, and loss of adhesion even with the presence of moisture from beneath the surface. Once cured, it forms a superior membrane capable of holding out against harsh weather conditions and water seapage from both sides of the substrate. Principal Uses: For negative side waterproofing of sensitive areas such as below grade basements, firewalls, balconies, bathrooms, landscape walls, foundations, and many more

Surface Preparation & Precautions

Precautions:

1. Mix product thoroughly before application.
2. Use product as supplied. No need to add cement, powder, or water.
3. Store in a cool dry place at room temperature.

Surface Preparation:

1. Surface to be applied must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants.
2. Due to its superior adhesion and waterproofing capabilities, treating fresh concrete with A-Plus® Concrete Neutralizer is not necessary.
3. Structural defects that are within reach and repairable like leaks and all sources of internal water pressure must be addressed to prolong and ensure longevity of the membrane.
4. Avoid application under extreme environmental conditions and/or bad weather conditions.

Painting Procedure

For Concrete Surfaces:

1. Waterproofing (1st coat): Using either a brush or roller, apply A-Plus Water-Check® Negative Pressure Waterproofing Membrane. Allow 2-3 hours curing in between each coat.
2. Waterproofing (2nd and 3rd coats): Apply succeeding coats opposite the direction of the brush/roller of the previous coat. Allow surface to cure overnight before application of topcoat paints.
3. Putty (Optional): Patch up surface imperfections with A-Plus® Concrete Putty. For a luxuriously smooth finish, apply A-Plus® Skim Coat 501/503.
4. Topcoat: Apply at least 2 coats of topcoat color of choice. For exterior concrete, apply A-Plus Acmelux® Paint. For interior concrete surfaces, apply A-Plus All Weather® Paint.
