Specifications

Surface Preparation & Precautions

1. Surface to be painted must be free from contaminants like dirt, grease, and other foreign matters.
2. For Damaged Surfaces: Sand thoroughly and wipe dry with cleaning solvent prior to application of primers. If necessary, strip off old paint using A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover.
3. For Bare Metal: Prime using either A-Plus® Heavy-Duty Epoxy Primer or Glazer Galva-Plus® Epoxy Primer.
4. Repair all major dents and surface imperfections with A-Plus Polytite® Polyester Body Filler.

Painting Procedure

1. Undercoat Primer: Apply at least 2 coats of A-Plus® Heavy-Duty Epoxy Primer or Glazer Galva-Plus® Epoxy Primer. Mixing ratio is 3:1 paint to catalyst, respectively.
2. Putty: To fix minor surface imperfections, use A-Plus Polytite® Polyester Body Filler or A-Plus A&B® Non Sag Epoxy Adhesive. Sand smooth before applying topcoat.
3. Spot Prime: Apply another coat of primer using either A-Plus® Heavy-Duty Epoxy Primer or Glazer Galva-Plus® Epoxy Primer.
4. Basecoat: Choose desired color from A-Plus Seamaster® Marine Coatings or Glazer® Industrial Coatings as basecoat. Apply 2-3 full basecoats.
5. Topcoat: Finish with 2-3 full coats of A-Plus Sea Master® Heavy-Duty 2K Polyurethane Protective Coat.
6. Allow 10-15 mins flash-off time between each coat.
